The Seebad lido lies in the heart of Lucerne, on Nationalquai. From the outside it looks like a big wooden box, but its unique charm easily rivals that of the neighbouring palace hotels. The lido was established in 1884-1885, and has been renovated several times. Projecting out onto the lake, it offers two pools as well as direct access to the open water. The central location is ideal for escaping the city bustle for a while – for swimming, eating or simply relaxing over a drink. The lido is especially attractive at sunset; occasionally there are gigs and DJ events.
