As you can still see from the building’s fine façade, this baroque house located in the centre of Grossbasel was originally a tea house run by Max Manger. After being renovated, and in memory of its former owner, it was renamed Manger & Boire. On the first floor there is a warm and friendly little restaurant and on the ground floor a bar with a jukebox. I enjoy spending time there, even if it’s just to admire the comic murals by the French artist René Noël! The varied programme offers concerts, plays and exhibitions.
