Joël Dicker

Joël was born in Geneva in 1985 and his entire schooling took place there before he enrolled at the Faculty of Law. After graduating in 2010 he chose to devote himself to a literary career. His first novel (The Final Days of Our Fathers), published in January 2012, received the Geneva Writers' Award, followed by a special citation from the jury of the French Army's Erwan Bergot Prize. His second novel (The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair), published in September 2012, received the Bleustein-Blanchet Foundation's Vocation Award, the Goncourt des Lycéens Award and the Grand Prix of the Académie Française.
